Report on the theme of the year – ‘’The year of the Earth’’

Month:April to July

Month Details
April Making the students aware of the them of the year through orientation.
Students were asked to suggest a new house name for their house. A list of names was prepared by the house in –charges. The new house name was declared for each house. They Are: Green Army, Green Defenders, Green Rangers and Green Stewards.
The House In-charge briefed the students and the teachers about the meaning of the house and the different duties of the house members.
Logo and slogan competitions were held for all ‘Green soldiers’ on the theme of ‘’The Year of The earth’’. The best slogan and logo were selected.
The best logo is:
Hand Writing competition was organized. The paragraph was related to the environment.
May Core committee was formed. It contains 8 students,8 teachers, Principal Madam and Campus Director.
Holiday homework based on environment was given: a)Collection of leaves which students do not find near their surroundings (unusual leaves) b)Paragraph Writing and Poem Composition on Nature. c)Suggested changes that they wish to bring in the environment. d)Best out of waste activity.
Students of VII standard were asked to study the rate of decomposition of paper ,banana peels and plastic and to prepare a brief report on the same.
Students of VII standard prepared posters on “Say No to Plastics”.
June The homework was checked and the students presented in the respective classrooms. The best students were selected class wise. They presented their experience and the topic in the assembly.
Students were motivated to plant trees and donate books/saplings on their birthdays. The Students have started bringing the plants and books. The change is observed.
Assembly was conducted on cleanliness. The students were found cleaning the garden and the classrooms without any instruction. Such students were awarded medals. Now most of the students take care of school campus.
